This sampler features various flower motifs, birds, butterflies, little ladies and men...to name a few. The widely spaced motifs are finished off by a lovely band of closely stitched house, trees and bird motifs. The verse reads, The grass is green, the rose is red, this may be seen when I am dead. Ann Dickinson Work Aged 13 1819. The sampler is worked on 30 count Iced Cappuccino linen by R&R Reproductions over one and two threads. DMC flosses are used throughout. Stitch count - 259 wide X 293 high. Design size (on 30 count) - 17 1/4" x 19 1/2".
